Where The Forest Meets The Stars

Where The Forest Meets The Stars. I’m saying goodbye to 2021 with this incredible book by Glendy Vanderah. I had this title on my TBR list for a long time until I recently got the audiobook (for free, by the way). The way the story began definitely piques the interest of the reader and the author also managed to keep the same interest intact all along. The plot development immersed me throughout the book. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this story and a lot of the credit also goes to the narrator, Lauren Ezzo, of the audiobook. She did a fantastic job and I had a great time.

If you ask me, try reading a physical book. As the story progressed, I kept thinking about whether I should have read the book instead of an audiobook. I’m sure it would have been much more enticing to read it. Because we pick our own tone and we have the complete freedom to stimulate our imagination however we want.

Review:

I found it quite intriguing even when I read the summary alone and I immediately knew I had to read this. I loved every character and every scene portrayed in the book. Ursa, the little weirdo, is my favourite character. I broke into peels of laughter many times while reading it, mostly during the banter between Ursa and Jo.

And the ending was also convincing and satisfying. Most importantly, it didn’t feel forced to arrive at a preconceived end, as it can happen with some stories. Every scene, line, and character had a purpose. It is quite difficult to achieve but Glendy did and it definitely reflected in the story.

Overall, it’s a brilliant story and convincing narration that will captivate you. Go ahead and give it a go. You’re going to love it.

Cheers,

Nikki.
