Product Test: First Time Trying Pilgrim Cosmetics

Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of ads for Pilgrim on Instagram, and I got intrigued to test it out. I, who usually doesn’t take ads at face value, got curious about this Indian brand tapping into Korean beauty. So, I ordered a couple of pilgrim products in December last year. One is a face serum, and the other is an undereye cream.

2023 hasn’t been that great in terms of skincare for me, so I hope Pilgrim gives a good start for 2024— and it did. The products came in quite simple packaging, as you can see below.

Some things that stood out to me:

  • Secrets of Jeju Island
  • Plastic positive
  • 100% vegan and cruelty-free
  • Retinol
  • Hyaluronic acid

First Opinion:

I tried the products as soon as I received them, and I liked both.

The Retinol Undereye Cream is soft and absorbent. It has a mild and soothing aroma, which is uplifting. As I applied the cream, I felt my skin absorbing it and becoming supple. Even after a few minutes, my skin stayed hydrated and smooth.

The Alpha Arbutin & Vitamin C Brightening Serum also has a great effect on my skin. It has a mild scent, almost unnoticeable. While applying, my skin absorbed it almost instantly and felt fresh — absolutely no stickiness. So, it felt fine even for daytime application.

After One Week:

Consistency is important in everything, including skincare. Only when cared for consistently can your skin glow. And to complement your efforts, you need good products. One without the other is futile, in my opinion. The same goes for these products as well. I’ve been using these for a week now, and they are so good. My skin feels amazing, and I feel confident. The undereye cream is more to my liking than the serum, but it’s a personal choice.

Note: Don’t overapply the undereye cream, though. It slightly burns; nothing concerning, but just wanted to mention it. This kinda showed how powerful this product is. So, bear it in mind!
