The Juliet Club

What would I like to do if I never had to earn money?

I asked myself this question many times, but I never found the perfect answer. I enjoy many things, but none felt like something I could do all life without expecting anything in return.

Now I have my answer.

Recently, I was watching a program on Fox Life and there I found something fascinating. The Juliet Club.

In that program, David Rocco spoke with the club members. And they showed the thousands of letters they received from around the world. Then I vaguely remembered it from a movie I watched years back — Letters to Juliet. But it never occurred to me that it could be real.

As a dreamer, my curiosity piqued.

Dear Juliet…

the Juliet club

In Italy, there’s a place called Verona. It’s a beautiful city, they say. But what’s more fascinating to me was its little society called The Juliet Club. People send letters to them sharing their troubles and the secretaries of the club write back to them offering advice in the name of Juliet.

The letters begin with the ‘Dearest Juliet.

I love the idea of writing letters (though, I have never written one). That’s not just it, your letter will be answered as Juliet, everyone’s beloved heroine!

If I were in Verona, I’d have surely become a volunteer of this club. And without a complaint, I’d have spent years reading and writing letters. Moreover, it’s stories and writing, which I love already. Every day would bring a new story, a new emotion, and a new answer.

Anyway, if you have not seen the movie or heard of this club, you should. The movie is available on Amazon Prime and you can check out the club here.

Most people share their love stories, but I guess you can write just about anything. If letters is not your thing, you can even send an email.

It’s only one life, so we should experience as many good things as we can.

So, what do you say?

Should I write my first letter to Juliet?
