Online Learning Platforms: Endless possibilities

With the growing age, our preferences change. I’m 27 now and at this point, I’m enjoying ‘learning’ like anything. Anything that can mildly enhance my personal worth is more satisfying for me. Honestly, I can’t believe myself for saying so but what can I do, that’s the truth.

There was this time when all I wanted to do in my life is having fun. Frankly, I still do but now I know that it takes hard work to even enjoy the essence of “FUN”.

Now that you understand where I stand in life at the moment, let’s see how I learn and what I prefer to learn.

As far as “how” is concerned, it’s pretty simple. This is the digital age we’re living in. Everything, well not everything per se, but mostly everything has become online. Including teaching and learning.

And yes, although it has its downsides, online learning seemed to be very helpful during the recent times of pandemic.

So, these are my top online learning platforms that saved me from going insane during the lockdown.

1. Edx

Many of you might already know about it. This is a wonderful place to acquire certification from foreign educational institutions. Though I haven’t paid for any course here, I’d like to dabble in the knowledge EDX has to offer. Edx is mostly educational, you rarely find anything creative or fun.

You can learn for free but if you want to be certified then you must pay for the course. Otherwise, it’s all yours for absolutely free of cost.

2. Skillshare

Edx is mostly academic but whereas Skillshare is a place for fun and creative stuff. There are many courses on photography, writing, painting, and a lot more.

3. Udemy

Again there are so many courses on Udemy. I’ve signed up for a couple of courses last month, I have already finished one.

4. Coursera

Another amazing platform for online learning. This, I haven’t browsed through enough. Once I’m done with the courses I’ve already joined I’ll see about Coursera. But from the brief glimpses, I can tell it’s cool enough to try.

5. LinkedIN learning

This has become my virtual hangout place. I’ve spent most of my time for the past month on this website. It’s so cool. I’ve been on LinkedIN for so long but how come I’ve not tried this before.

You can get a free trial month here, so sign up and see if this is your kind.

The possibilities of learning online are limitless. It’s never been easier to acquire a skill. I, for one, is so hung up on browsing through these platforms and amping up my knowledge inventory. And every time I complete a course there’s a wave of satisfaction and happiness that I can’t get enough of.

I’ve finished a bunch of online courses in January and let me share some of the certificates with you.

And there’s this another course that I did on LinkedIN learning that didn’t offer a certification but I enjoyed it so much. It’s called “Creativity for all weekly“. They shared some amazing creativity enhancing techniques and methods.

It’s very beneficial for creative people.

Have you been on any of these online learning platforms?

Which one is your favourite?

My top learning space is LinkedIn learning. I’m spending most of my time there honing my skills. I never knew learning can be so addictive. Can you relate?

I’ll see you next time.

Lots of LOVE,

Nikki.
