How To Make Zero-Budget Video Trailer For Your Business

Business is all about presentation. How you portray your business to the public makes a lot of difference. And in this age and era of social media, you can do a lot all by yourself. And one such many is creating video trailers. Gone are the days where you have to hire someone to create a video advertisement for your business. With the resources available on the internet and the umpteen number of tutorials on Youtube, you can make a pretty decent video trailer for your business promotion all on your own.

I recently made a couple of book trailers myself for my book “The Invisible Guardian” and the response to it has been amazing. I created two trailers and asked my followers to vote for the best and they did. It created some curiosity and better insight into the book.

If you haven’t seen those trailers, check this out.

Aren’t they great? They can be better but I’m glad I exceeded my own expectations at my first try itself. And now, I’m going to reveal how I created such amazing video trailers on my own. Let’s get started.

Step 1:

You need a Video Theme.

First and foremost, you’re gonna have to come up with the theme for your video because the next two steps depend on it. If you want to make it work, you are gonna have to put a little more thought into the theme of your video trailer.

Then move onto the next one.

Step 2:

You need Resources.

It’s important to have a clear cut idea of what kind of resources are you going to use in the video trailer and where are you going to get them from.

First of all, you can use either pictures or vector graphics or short video clippings or you can even go for a mix of any. But personally, I suggest you go with video clippings. It’s better.

And then, our next question, from where? I found a few fantastic websites where you can download them from. Remember to use only no-copyright, free stock videos. So the first one is “Pixabay“. It has stock images, videos, & also music.

There is also a site called “Pexels“.

Lastly, “Mix kit“. This one also has free stock music.

I used only these three for mine.

Step 3:

You need a Good Video Editing Software.

For my book video trailers, I used iMovie, which is a default video editing software for Apple computers. If you have access to iMovie, it will be great. Consider your work is already half done. But even if you don’t, no worries, there are plenty of other options available on the Internet.

Forget about computer software, you can even create an incredible video trailer from a mobile app. You are aware of the InShot app, right? It’s pretty good as well. You can create one there. For example, see this. I made this video on the same.

See, not bad, right?

That’s all. You are good to go.

I wish you good luck with your video trailer. I’ll see you soon again. Adiós!

Lots of LOVE,

Nikki.
