Why Self-Questioning Is A Great Habit To Succeed

Ever questioned your own actions? Every questioned your own thoughts? Ever questioned your own intentions? And ever questioned your own feelings? If you have ever done any of these then you are an amazing person and you are going to succeed no matter what. Maybe you already have but in case you are waiting for that big success moment, it is already in store for you.

I received a request to answer this question on Quora and I thought I should make a post about it for you guys.

So, why is self-questioning so important?

What is so great about it?

Let’s see. When we are put under extreme stress and melancholy our mind tries to play tricks on us. It makes us think negative, it makes us feel bad, it makes us do/say things that are not correct. It is quite natural but if we don’t try to correct ourselves then that’s where we will go wrong.

It is important to steer yourself properly.

How do we go wrong with these things?

As I said it is quite normal to feel various emotions and have different kinds of thoughts as we go through every day. But we will be terribly wrong when we feed the wrong thoughts constantly. That’s when we go wrong.

If we knew what we felt/did is not the right thing and still don’t bother correcting ourselves, that’s when we go wrong.

What are these things anyway?

Things that don’t make us better in any way are the things that make us go wrong if we keep feeding them often. For example, jealousy, over competitiveness, inferiority complex, etc. I’m not saying these are completely bad, these sometimes push us closer to the goal. Still, we shouldn’t dwell on these things too much.

We all can distinguish right from wrong very well but some tend to overlook and don’t bother correcting themselves, which is not the correct way of dealing with a situation.

It is not possible to avoid such things altogether but we can always try to make things right. And again, I’m not saying to constantly keep questioning your every minor doing but you can always check up on yourself and see how you are doing.

If you are feeling bad try to talk yourself out of it. Like you do it for a friend.

If you hurt somebody, apologize sincerely.

If you make a mistake, take responsibility for it and make things right again.

That’s how it should be.

If you just keep on questioning but never try to make things right then what even is the purpose of self-questioning? Otherwise, all these things keep obstructing your path to success. These divert you from your main goal as your focus shifts to unwanted things.

To succeed, you must always focus on either yourself or your goal. Not on the things that are miles away from your goal.

So that’s it for today.

Comment down below if you have any more questions for me to answer. I’d be happy to do so.  I’ll see you next time.

Lots of LOVE,

Nikki.
