Winter Skincare Essentials: The TLC Your Skin Needs

Winter is coming…

Are you prepared? Especially, those with dry skin. I love winters; That cold breeze, hot cup of coffee in the gloomy mornings, foggy skies, chirpy birds, etc. I love everything about winters, except for the things it does to my skin. It makes it dry and pale which I absolutely hate. My skin type is normal, imagine if it’s like this for me, how dreadful it can be for those with dry skin. Nightmare. Isn’t it?

I understand perfectly.

That is why I came up with winter skincare essentials for all you out there dreading the coming winter. Don’t worry. As long as you have me here, you have absolutely nothing to fear about winter. There is a little misconception that skincare needs a lot of effort but that’s not true at all. What skincare actually needs is consistency. However little you do for your skin, do it consistently.

Winter Skincare Essentials

So… like always, instead of dumping a bunch of expensive branded products on you, I came up with this simple winter skincare regime to keep your skin glowing. This is very easy to follow. Okay, let’s see what you can do to protect your skin.

1. Coconut oil

Winter nights are very important. You must not let your skin be dehydrated all night. So, what you can do is, apply a few drops of whatever oil that suits you the best before you go to bed. It can be coconut oil, almond oil, olive oil, rosehip oil or anything else that you like. But the rule is to keep it hydrated. Always.

2. Sweat it out

Sweating is really good for the skin, especially in winter. Sweating opens skin pores and releases impurities. Hence your skin needs to be washed off immediately after your workout sesh. It also improves the blood flow which would be good. So, every morning take some time out and work out. It’s a really great healthy choice.

3. Oil Face Cleansers

At the end of the day, to cleanse and remove makeup I suggest you use a good oil face cleanser. Oil-based cleansers are better than water-based ones. They keep your skin moisturized and nourished. Unless you have oily skin, you better go with an oil-based face cleanser.

4. Warm mist humidifiers

The last one is the humidifiers. There are mixed opinions as to the usage of these warm mist humidifiers. But I think as long as you don’t overdo it, these humidifiers will be very helpful for your skin as well as breathing. These humidifiers add moisture to your indoor air. These are very beneficial in winters. It helps restore the moisture to your skin and hair.

So… this is it for now. This is my winter skincare essentials guide. Try these tips and let me know what worked better for your skin this winter. I’ll catch you soon again with another interesting topic. Until then, keep spreading love and smiles. Also, comment down below how you found this one. Useful? Yay or nay?

Love,

Nikki.
