People with Good Self-esteem would not do this

Every human born on the Earth will have a weakness. Anything can be one’s weakness, even a strength can turn into a weakness any time if we go down the wrong path. So, the point is nothing is certain. Although there are many that we consider as weaknesses, there is one true weakness that we mistake for power. A weakness that’s been parading in our society masked as power.

What is it?

Does anything come to your mind?

There might be many but the biggest one of all is bullying/mocking/thrashing on others’ confidence.

We all have known at least one such bully in our lives. One that is making our lives miserable without making it seem so. What talent, right? They say nasty things like nothing and say either they are joking or it’s for our own good. Nonsense.

People talk about bullies in high school/college all the time but the truth is, there will be a bully all our lives. It might be a colleague, a friend, a parent, a sibling, or a spouse.

Frankly, they are worse than high school bullies. They throw some random comments and opinions your way every day both knowingly and unknowingly. The damage it can cause is irreparable and unnoticed.

But the pain is so real.

This is not the problem actually. The problem is that we are afraid of them. They constantly look down on us and we are just scared to say anything back. Why?

Are we worried that the relation might break? That is already half-broken and toxic.

Are we worried that we might look hurt? Which we obviously are.

Or are we worried that we might look bad? And they already think we are naive and can’t stand up for ourselves.

This. This bothers me a lot.

We only spend our time questioning ourselves over and over again, why do they do it?

To mask their own insecurities, trust issues, low self-esteem, lack of kindness. They might have their own issues but it doesn’t mean they can go around giving the same wound to others. Honestly, I have never seen a person with good self-esteem and kind heart throw off a comment carelessly. They will think before they talk because they know words have power. Words have the power to both heal and hurt.

So next time when you meet a bully, remember this and brush off their comments, if possible stand up for yourselves. Heck I say, pick a fight. Is that aggressive? Haha. Kidding.

If not anything, at least ignore. All we can do is muster up all our courage to ignore them. Ignore them big time. Apparently, ignorance is bliss. And apparently, ignorance also hurts. So I guess it will be even. Wink.

Anyway, you know the funny thing here, even a bully has a bully. It’s a circle and it only stops when you stop.

Can you think of any such bully?

If so, just share this article and say nothing. If they are lucky, they will change. If not, it’s their loss.

I hope you find peace and happiness.

P.S: And you bullies, know there is a thing called “KARMA”.

Lots of LOVE,

Nikki.
